
One Year On – Bradford on Avon’s Ethical Retailer holds Birthday Bash
Today 14 September 2009, Who Cares announces that Bradford Town Mayor, Cllr Isabel Martindale will celebrate at the Who Cares birthday party which has been trading a year in Bradford on Avon and 3 years trading in total.
Cllr Martindale will blow out a candle on the Who Cares fair-trade birthday cake at 11:00 am on 19 September 2009 at 33 Silver Street, Bradford on Avon, BA15 1JX
The caring, ethical, fair-trade and sustainable supermarket is having a birthday party as part of Organic Fortnight 5 - 20 September 2009 to celebrate their retail success bringing ethical groceries and household goods to the people of Bradford on Avon.

The caring, ethical, fair-trade and sustainable supermarket is having a birthday party as part of Organic Fortnight 5 - 20 September 2009 to celebrate their retail success bringing ethical groceries and household goods to the people of Bradford on Avon.
The party will take place on Saturday 19 September 2009 commencing at 9:00 am with activities and sampling all day. Christine Giles, founder will be welcoming new and existing customers and thanking the loyalty card holders. It will be held alongside the Bradford on Avon Arts Festival Healthy Trail.
During the day customers and shoppers will be welcomed with organic wine, chocolates, food sampling, new products trials and free gifts. There will also be special goody bag for all loyalty card holders.
An organic fair-trade birthday cake with be cut and shared at 11:00 am that morning.
Christine Giles commented, “We really wanted to give something back to the local community and our new and existing customers by holding a day-long celebration for everyone to join in and trial products. We want all shoppers in Bradford on Avon to pop in and try our products and celebrate with us”

Christine added “I was constantly complaining about the ethics and policies of manufacturers and companies to the point where I decided to open my own shop that sourced products as locally and caring as possible. I’m so pleased I made the decision to open the shop and source groceries that are caring, ethical and fair-trade. We don’t keep any information about our products from our customers.”
Who Cares, are winners of Wiltshire Business of the Year Sustainability Award 2008 and are the UK's only sustainable supermarket, they have been trading in Bradford on Avon for a year and are committed to being a caring, ethical and fair trade supermarket, selling their goods with care for people, animals and the environment.
Who Cares opened in 2006.
They maintain a strong reputation in the local area due to the five ethics they follow of, no factory farming, no animal testing, no potentially harmful additives, environmentally friendly and sticking to fair trade. With approximately 70-80% of the products being fair-trade.
